Summary/Abstract: This article is an attempt to initiate a discussion on logistics educational programs in the context of socio‐economic changes in Poland and world‐wide, as well as a proposal to modify the logistics curriculum in the context of Poland’s socio‐economic development on the example of first‐ and second‐cycle study programs developed for the program launched in 2023. in the field of Logistics at the University of the National Education Commission in Krakow. The authors begin with a short introduction to the issue of logistics, presenting selected ways of defining it, the genesis of the phenomenon and basic data. For the important reasons, they also refer to the processes of space management and spatial planning, which are significantly related to logistics and influence transport needs and their fulfilment. Then, based on a case study – the launch of a new field of study in Logistics at UKEN in Krakow, they indicate intentional modifications in the first‐ and second‐cycle study programs relating to current and forecast changes in selected socio‐economic factors and the related needs of the logistics industry. In their conclusions, they formulate recommendations related to the need to re‐evaluate the conditions and educational offer for logisticians, adapted to the upcoming changes in the logistics labour market as a response to socio‐economic changes in Poland and around the world. The authors draw attention to the fact that combining logistics education programs with spatial management will be one of the possibilities of an effective response to upcoming changes in the needs, requirements and problems of some sectors of the logistics industry related to, among others, with the constantly growing so‐called transport effort.Słowa kluczowe
