Summary/Abstract: This case study is based on an analysis of the copies of guild articles in the cartulary of the bishops of Olomouc—Jan Dubravius and Mark Khuen—which provide an insight into the content of guild articles in subject towns located on the estates of the Olomouc bishopric. Rather than analysing all the copies of articles preserved in the cartulary of the two aforementioned bishops, the study aims to outline the functioning of selected guilds by analysing four ordinances. Each analysis of the articles is preceded by a brief outline of the economic development of the town.
