Summary/Abstract: The article aims to revive and preserve the scarce remaining information about the writer Vera Balabanova. While doing so, the article focuses on presenting the writer’s biographical information and her literary efforts. Unfortunately, Balabanova’s archive does not exist due to its dispersion and partial destruction. Despite this, we get a glimpse into Balabanova’s entity through the use of her two memoirs’ written about 3 prominent Bulgarian writers: Anton Strashimirov, Georgi P. Stamatov, and Teodor Trayanov. She remains known in Bulgarian literary history solely through these written memoirs. Referencing them, the article attempts to convey key aspects of her relationship with the three above-mentioned writers, presenting obscure information about Balabanova’s work as well as other key aspects of her life. The purpose of this paper is to provoke the reader’s interest for another Bulgarian writer – a patron of writers, whose work is somewhat forgotten.
