Summary/Abstract: The educational system aims to contribute to young people's development and changes inabilities, skills and attitudes as well as values that are accepted in modern society. The school alone does not achieve these goals because the family and the social environment have a great impact on the development of a young person. A large part of the changes in human development takes place within the realms of the educational system and constitutes the basic task of the school system. The task of initial teaching and learning in class is to inaugurate motivation, create a suitable stimulating situation, to occasion verbal communication and provide feedback in learning. Each of these functions in teaching has its own role and if one of them is missing, learning takes place with difficulty. In school, whose teaching and educational problems are becoming more and more demanding and complicated, there is a lot to be achieved. Efforts generally lead to refined performance in learning and government. It works on developing students' work habits, better discipline and more efficient mastering of school material, reducing the harmful effects of the social environment on students, overcoming problems in peer communication (work on the prevention of peer violence), resolving conflict situations between students and teachers, and strengthening cooperation between the school and families. Recently, more attention is paid to the concept of motivation. In this paper, we dealt with motivation with the respect to school learning. The method of theoretical analysis was used fort he theoretical treatment of the research problem. Empirical research was used to examine the motivation for learning from the student's perspective and the "Large Inventory of Achievement Motivation Inventory VIMP" was used. Suzić (2006). The aim of the research is to assess the attitudes and opinions of the students of the elementary school "Mladen Stojanović" in Laktaši about the presence and influence of certain factors of the teaching process on the motivation to learn. The research was conducted on a sample of 100 students of the sixth and ninth grades in the central school and regional departments of Klašnice and Kriškovci.
