Summary/Abstract: The focus of the research is reflected in the comparative analysis of two ontological models, Platonist and Еarly Christian ontology, on the example of the commonly used concept of the soul. In the first part of the paper, the question of the ontological status of the soul is considered in the representative works of Plato, specifically, in Phaedo and Timaeus. In the second part, the basic assumptions of the Еarly Christian view on the question of the ontological status of the soul are presented, in the work of the fathers and thinkers of the Church who directly argued with the Greek context. On those grounds, the goal of the work is reflected, which tends to explain the relationship between the two ontologies, under the prism of comparative analysis.
