Summary/Abstract: The article starts from the premise that contemporary terrorism is based on a limitless resource that can be used at any given moment and make the most of any other terrorism resources – intellectual potential. That is why this article analyses a series of moments in which intellectual potential makes its presence felt during planning and developing the terrorist attacks on 11 September 2001 (New York), 11 March 2004 (Madrid) and 7 July 2005 (London). The purpose is to expose the military-strategic thought elements necessary to shape under a viable conceptual form the “terrorist intellectual potential” in order to anticipate and put an end to the new terrorist attacks.
