Summary/Abstract: The issue of increasing risks caused by a difficult situation for a pupil related to school or other educational establishment is of interest to almost the whole society. School safety is a condition and value that is prioritised by most parents and members of the school community alike. The risks implied by pupils in difficulty mean that the safety of the areas and facilities of schools and educational establishments and their occupants should be overseen by hired security staff who, in a situation of real and imminent danger, are expected to take appropriate action (defined in part by the Act on the Protection of Persons and Property and the Act on Direct Action Agents and Firearms) to avert the danger.
