Summary/Abstract: Those who, as it happened to the writer of these words, interact with literature, popularize it, teach it, create it to the best of their ability, and in their spare time study it, must ask themselves questions about the status of the text, the reader, the author and the rules or paradoxes of representation. Superimposed on each other, these areas of thought together create a literary space. In this space, a parallel point can be found, allowing the integrity of the subject to be saved. In the past this problem did not exist, because the literary space was uniformly filled with so-called humanism, which in this particular case is the conviction that everything that has come out of the hand of man or has become an object of reflection is in a mutual relationship. It was the vocation of the humanist to follow the course of these relationships and reconstruct their causes, or design their continuation. Today, humanism has left a memento in the form of the socalled humanities, but I will not develop this thread.
