Summary/Abstract: The fine arts curricula for the junior high school stage contain many new components. Some of them are related to the competence approach and are based on the system of interdisciplinary connections. A priority place is still occupied by visual activities, the development of the students' imagination. An overview of some methods is offered in the context of visual arts.
