Summary/Abstract: This research examines the concepts of acousticity and sonance as components of phonism. Acousticity as a property of harmonic intervals and vertical sound complexes was introduced by the author in 2014. The presence of two components in the clarification of the properties in question helps to realize a number of parallels with already established concepts and phenomena in music. Such are polyphonic invoice "with and without pronounced bass", also introduced by the author, horizontal and vertical, plagality and authenticity. The comparison with the two tonal inclinations is particularly interesting - the major with an acoustic and sonant basis and the minor with only sonant.
