Scale Development About Characterıcts of People From Rize and the Research About Commitment on Rize and Rize’s Culture

Summary/Abstract: In Turkey, people from Rize are famous with their particular characteristics. Especially they are well-known in terms of their sense of humor. They are very successful in different areas of social life. The aim of this study is to examine characteristics of people of Rize, who have a sui generis regional identity. This study includes a scale in order to measure personal particularities of the concerning people in statistical terms. This scale maybe applied to other areas too, by researchers of different disciplines. Results of the survey are to display demographic features of the people, as well as to reveal their commitment to and connection with Rize and the culture therein.
