Summary/Abstract: The Orbis Scholae journal, founded with the aim of informing about the prestigious research project "Center for Basic Research in School Education," has evolved over time. Originally a bulletin, it transitioned into a regular scientific journal with an international editorial board. The journal focuses on educational research, including topics like educational system transformation, school justice, curriculum development, and teaching and learning processes. Notably, it was the first Czech educational journal included in the Scopus database. The future challenges include language choice (Czech vs. English), embracing online publishing, and maintaining relevance in a changing environment.
