Summary/Abstract: Climate change is one of the biggest global, ecological, and environmental challenges of our time. As a part of the nature, human beings are directly and indirectly affected by the climate change in different areas, including security, economy, development, and human rights. Most recently, showing a domino effect, the COVID-19 pandemic, which has had global impacts, has demonstrated how nature, environment, people, and development are intricately interrelated and manifested the fragility of the development models. Furthermore, neoliberal climate governance has also become more questioned, and the visibility of alternative approaches has increased. In this context, this study considers the climate crisis within the framework of nature-women relations and presents a critical evaluation of the global climate regime initiatives, which are known as neoliberal governance, from an ecofeminist perspective with a special focus on the Paris Agreement. In this regard, a content analysis is conducted on the Paris Agreement using Word Cloud Software and analyzed from an ecofeminist perspective. Although the agreement is considered to be the most promising step among international initiatives on climate change taken so far, this study shows the Paris Agreement does not differ significantly from previous initiatives. Like previous initiatives, the Paris Agreement does not envision a structural change in patriarchal capitalism, nor does it move away from the aim of sustaining growth-oriented development policies within existing hierarchical relations. As a result, the Paris Agreement remains at a weak level of goodwill in integrating a gender equality approach into global climate policies.
