Summary/Abstract: The main goal of this report is to examine the influence and potential of emotional intelligence on the learning, achievements, self-regulation and self-preparation of students in their conducting studies by revealing the connections between the emotional-communicative and expressive nature of the conducting technique and the formation of modeling and management skills the emotional interaction with the piece of music in the conducting process. The theoretical and methodological justifications support the thesis that in the process of conducting training, a rich and diverse emotional experience is formed in students, which contains great opportunities not only for adequate answers and reactions to the various musical performance challenges, but also for effective self-regulation and proper self-orientation. Modeling and managing the emotional interaction with the piece of music in the conducting process helps to increase the level of emotional intelligence of the students.
