Summary/Abstract: The efforts of the logistic community within NATO to accelerate the transformation of logistics brought about another series of changes, not only from a doctrinal and operational point of view but also from the perspective of the attitude towards the fighters’ needs. According to NATO, the major challenge for the Alliance in the next few years will be to counteract the asymmetrical threats in a world that is constantly changing. To give a credible response to these challenges, NATO logistics should be able to provide a global capability meant to support forces with expeditionary nature and for a long period of time outside NATO’s area of responsibility. For the military specialists, this goal cannot be achieved without an increased level of integration between the logistic systems of NATO’s member countries.
