Date privind activitatea consulară franceză de la Galaţi în prima jumătate a secolului al XIX-lea
Data regarding the French Consular Activity in Galati, during the First Half of the Nineteenth Century

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to present a view of the consular activity in the Principality of Moldavia, with a particular focus on the activity of the French consuls in the port city of Galatz, during the first half of the 19th century. The consulted material included archive sources, documentary sources, monographs, and historical syntheses. On the basis of these sources, we depicted the activities of the French diplomats in Galatz, and the mobility of the consular positions, from Galatz to Jassy and vice versa.
