Summary/Abstract: Speaking at conferences, presenting research results and communicating information are an integral part of every scientist's professional activity. One of the most popular forms of communication are multimedia presentations. Unfortunately, they are often characterized by low quality content, lack of communicativeness and clarity. Despite the existence of many studies showing how to prepare scientific speeches1, the appeal for the need to raise the level of their quality is still valid. A publication entitled Multimedia presentations in scientific speeches meets this appeal. This is the second - next to the position Organization of scientific conferences (Czapnik and Antczak, 2022) - collective work prepared under the editorship of Mariola Antczak from the Department of Informatology and Bibliology at the University of Lodz, which thematically oscillates around the organization of scientific events. This time the publication answers two key questions, how to prepare good scientific speeches and how to prepare a good multimedia presentation to enrich scientific speeches
