Summary/Abstract: This research aims to examine the attitudes of professionals working in the field of social work towards individuals using addictive substances and the relationship between these attitudes and sociodemographic variables. In the study, a sociodemographic information form and Scale on Attitudes and Behaviors toward Individuals Using Addictive Substance were used and the study was carried out with 106 participants. Independent Sample T-Test, Anova and Spearman Correlation Test were used in the analysis of the data. The attitudes of the professionals working in the field of social work participating in this research towards individuals using illicit addictive substances were found to be negative, although not at a high level. It has been determined that the educational status have an effect on their attitudes. Negative attitudes of personnel working with individuals at high risk of substance use may adversely affect the interventions and services they will provide to these individuals. Therefore, it is considered important to increase the level of knowledge about substance use disorder and the biopsychosocial processes of substance use.
