Türkiye’de Armoni Alanında Yazılmış Lisansüstü Tezler Üzerine Bir İçerik Analizi
A Content Analysis on Postgraduate Theses in the Field of Harmony in Turkey

Summary/Abstract: Harmony, which is a concept that every music person should know in the direction of his/her field of use, is the subject of academic studies with its theoretical, practical and educational dimensions. Postgraduate theses also constitute an important part of these academic studies. This research aims to examine postgraduate theses written in Turkey, in the field of harmony. The sample of this research is a total of 63 postgraduate theses completed between 1989-2022. This research is qualitative research and the data analysis method is document analysis. The results of the research indicated that the majority of the theses, written in the field of harmony, were at master's degree. 2019 was the year in which the most research was completed. Most of the theses were completed at Gazi University and institutes of Social Sciences. The most preferred research subject is the field of harmony education. Qualitative research methods were used mostly. The most used data collection tool is documents and the most used data analysis method is document analysis.
