Summary/Abstract: Although the age group described as young shows the country structure of the country, the concept of young generally refers to the groups between the ages of 15-24 in the literature. Young people may move away from the labor market or have to work outside of their fields of education due to reasons such as lack of experience, technical knowledge, and merit issues. Young people’s alienation from the workforce or their inability to find a job that suits their characteristics negatively affects them economically and psychologically and causes them to be isolated from society. With the increase in the number of university graduates in Türkiye in recent years, problems such as the problem of qualification incompatibility among young people studying in some departments and the prolongation of the period of finding a job may be experienced. It can be said that the young people studying in the departments of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, especially in the departments that have more qualification mismatches and longer employment times, are more affected by the unemployment phenomenon compared to the departments in the universities announced by the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Human Resources Office. For this reason, within the scope of the study, the perspective of students (between 18-24 years old) studying in the departments of business, economics, finance, public administration, political science and international relations, labor economics and industrial relations, econometrics affiliated to the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Manisa Celal Bayar University perspective on unemployment and solution proposals about youth unemployment are included.
