Summary/Abstract: Higher education institutions can improve the quality of education they have and the academic experience of students to take advantage of the socioeconomic and academic advantages provided by international students. The aim of the study is to examine and explore the academic experiences of international students in depth. Phenomenology pattern, one of the qualitative research approaches, was used in the research. The participants of the study are 9 international students who graduated with a C1 certificate from the Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center in the 2021-2022 academic year. Maximum variety and criterion sampling, which is one of the purposive sampling methods, was used to determine the students. Data were collected through individual and face-to-face interviews using semi-structured interview forms. The obtained data were analyzed by content analysis. As a result of the research, almost all of the students stated that they actively participated in the learning processes, but they experienced some academic difficulties in grammar, speaking and writing skills.
