Summary/Abstract: With globalization, the crises in the world have begun to transform. In addition to the benefits it provides in many aspects such as the spread of labor and capital mobility and the reduction of transportation and communication costs, there are also new types of crises caused by globalization. One of the most important examples of new types of crises is the crisis in the financial markets. Especially since the 1990s, when globalization gained momentum, the spread of crises in the field of finance with the increase in capital mobility and the effect of these crises in many countries shows the extent of new types of crises after globalization. Apart from financial crises, one of the best examples that can be given to new types of crises is seen as epidemic diseases. With the developments in transportation technology, the mobility of people and labor factors increases, so epidemics spread faster than in the past and affect almost the whole world. The most recent of these diseases is the Covid-19 pandemic. This pandemic has negatively affected almost every country in the world economically, politically and socially. With this pandemic, liberal economic policies and free market regime began to be questioned, and statist policies gained importance. Nation-states, the legitimacy of which has begun to be debated, emerged from this crisis strongly. Fiscal policies implemented by nation states have been an important step to get out of the crisis. In addition, wealth taxes were brought to the agenda again in order to eliminate the effects of the crisis and to correct the distorted income distribution due to the crisis.
