Summary/Abstract: The Research Institute for Quality of Life at the Romanian Academy was established in January 1990 with the purpose of conducting research on social change in post-communist Romania. In 2020 RIQL celebrated 30 years of existence, 30 years in the service of Romania society. The celebration held in the aula of the Romanian Academy pointed out the great contribution of the institute to the development of social sciences and of Romanian society over the past three decades.
