Summary/Abstract: The aim of this research is to reveal how adults present gender roles to children in digital content in the context of the YouTube channel " Cicili Bicili Kız ". The study group of the research consists of 20 videos randomly selected from 598 contents of the channel. Document analysis was used as the data collection method and descriptive analysis was used in the analysis. In the analysis of the data, gender themes were determined by evaluating the characteristics, roles and speeches of the toys exhibited in the videos. According to the results obtained; female characters outnumber male characters in the videos. In the clothing colours of the female characters in the videos, it was observed that pink and its tints were generally used in accordance with traditional gender stereotypes, while blue and black tints were used for males. In the occupational preferences of the characters, in parallel with the stereotypes formed in the society, naive, desk jobs were exhibited with female characters, while difficult professions requiring power were exhibited with male characters. Another result of the study is that an ideal perception of beauty is created through female characters. These perceptions are presented through care/make-up, clothes and being thin. The results of watching such gender-stereotyped video content by children and young people were evaluated from an educational point of view.
