Summary/Abstract: There are some personalities who came to the fore in the process of Turkification of Anatolia. Çaka Bey is one of the most important personalities that came to the fore especially in the Turkification and Islamization of Western Anatolia. There is an obscurity in almost all phases of Çaka Bey's life, such as her name, origin, political-military activities and death, who stood out as an important Turkish conqueror. This is due to the fact that the sources do not provide information about Çaka Bey, provide partial information or record the events incorrectly. The main sources containing records about her life are Dânişmend-nâme, Alexiad and Zonaras' chronicle translated into Turkish under the name of The Summary of History. The gaps between the records found in these works have been tried to be filled with interpretations by contemporary researchers. This situation makes the biography of Çaka Bey subjective. In our study, while Çaka Bey's biography is written in the light of the sources, the data in the sources will be evaluated and the events of Çaka Bey's period will be re-examined from a critical point of view. The possibility that the Turkish Chief known as Çavuldur Çaka or Çaka (in Danishmend-nâme) was Çaka Bey, the reason Çaka Bey escaped from the Byzantine palace, his main target, his political-military activities, his alliance with the Pechenegs, his death...etc. Such matters will be re-evaluated in the light of sources.
