Summary/Abstract: In recent years autofiction is a concept that has become increasingly popular in literary texts and documentaries. The article examines the interrelationships and interdependence between fact and fiction in the two arts through the desire to search and find the truth in Milena Makarius’ novel “Dossier: Janna” and the film “I See Red People” directed by Bozhina Panayotova, who is the writer’s daughter. Through personal discourse, personal, family and collective crises are revealed, but unconscious psychotraumas are also treated.
