Summary/Abstract: The article represents a peculiar catalogue of the ‘Bulgarian period’ – an emblematic part of the Croatian poetess Vesna Parun’s work. The author comments her personal acquaintances and friendships with Bulgarian artists and intellectuals, her literary translations and her attitude to the dissident culture in the 1960’s of the 20th century. The researcher also focuses on Vesna Parun’s travelogues and essays dedicated to Bulgaria and further she discussed the literary translations made by the poetess concerning a number of poets such as Hristo Yasenov, Penyuo Penev, Blaga Dimitrova.
