Summary/Abstract: The article explores the correspondence of the Croatian poetess with her friends in Bulgaria – distinguished artists and intellectuals with whom she built relationships in the 1960’s years of the 20th century during her so-called ‘Bulgarian period’ that marked her life and creative path. The biggest part of her preserved epistolary archive comprises her letters addressed to Vely Chaushev and Radoy Ralin. The letters written by Vesna Parun are an authentic source revealing her psychological portrait, her fateful obsession with literature – quite different from the typical human rhythm. The intimate correspondence constructs a solid, multi-colorful and multi-layered image of the poetess – so impressive as well as her work warmly acclaimed in the whole world.
