Summary/Abstract: Jazz music is an art form, not responding one and the same version of a piece over centuries, but deals with improvisation and innovations. So new musical material can be derived simply by analyzing of the harmony and assign the correct chord scales and arppegious. The report contains general information about the ways of improvisation in jazz music and includes examples with analyzes and transcriptions of solos by the famous jazz guitarist Andreas Oberg.
