Summary/Abstract: The concept of absolute omnipotence (or maximal power) of God presented by Stanisław Judycki refers to the intuition of the most perfect being of Anselm of Canterbury and the infinite being of Descartes. Through its radicalism, however, it violates the basic intuitions of classical theism regarding the rationality and goodness of God’s being, realizing these attributes in His creation. It seems that the intellectual price of this concept is quite high for a rational understanding of God in Christian doctrine. A significant balance to this concept would be the proposal of simple being theology presented by Thomas Aquinas.
