Summary/Abstract: In this paper we deal with the analysis of the youth novel by Momo Kapor, Notes of an Ana, from the point of view of gender studies. The very concept of this approach to the interpretation of a literary work starts from the idea that gender stereotypes are one of the building blocks of our cultural heritage and, to some extent, collective identity, and as such are passed from generation to generation through everyday life and literary discourse. . Dealing with the analysis of a specific novel, the author of this paper looks at the basic motives, specificity of narrative forms and narrative procedures through which the writer makes established stereotypical patterns of thought and action, established norms and patriarchal constructs, bringing the reader into question. Accordingly, we see that Kapor's prose works are made specific not only by the ease of style with which this author approaches literary work, but also by his innovative and unique view of reality, bringing refreshment and the spirit of modernity to the literary scene.
