Summary/Abstract: This article shall set out to analyze the Arabic dialect spoken in the Algerian city of Oran. It presents data from this dialect, collected during fieldwork, and, with the aid of this data, we shall discuss the dialect's main phonetic, morphosyntactic and lexical features, comparing them to those of other Bedouin-based urban dialects such as that of Casablanca in Morocco.
