Summary/Abstract: The Rider, literacy textbook for students is determined by the specific tripartite structure (pre-rider, rider and post-rider) and it is used only in the first grade of primary school. Methodical literature focuses the authors of the textbook to organize content so that students more easily overcome the initial reading and writing and it is the only book which, according to the curriculum, contains tasks and guidelines for mastering reading and writing the first language. We studied the presence of the usual textbook elements (content, illustrations, thematic units, working /non-working tutorial), but the emphasis is on specific activities (exercise of writing exercises writing, teaching methods, parallel reading and writing) that characterized the first book which pupils faced in school.
