Summary/Abstract: This article discusses collocations in specialised discourse. It is a study based on a corpus of texts belonging to thematic press related to the economy. The objective of this contribution is to account for the formation, functioning, and typology of collocations in specialised languages. We have reached the conclusion that the dominant types in specialised languages are regular collocations followed by transparent collocations, far from opaque collocations which are generally reserved for figurative discourse. For the formation of collocations, the form where the base belongs to the general language and the collocate comes from specialised vocabulary is by far the most common.
