Summary/Abstract: Driven by anthropocentrism, humans have allowed themselves to lower animals to the point of reifying and exploiting them without limit. To move away from a hierarchical vision, and to think of animal individuals in terms of their singularity and richness, this text emphasizes the bond between humans and animals, itself set under the sign of tenderness. Tenderness seems to us to be a precious doorway to otherness and a celebration of the encounter between human and non-human animals.
