Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the topic of children’s participation in the liturgy of the Orthodox Church, paying attention to the important importance of the religious education of the young generation. It shows the Church’s approach to the participation of children in the liturgy, based on the instructions formulated by its shepherds. The analysis of canonical texts and the writings of theologians shows that the Orthodox see the need for children’s presence at the Eucharist, but pay less attention to their active participation in the celebration and emphasize the role of parents as witnesses and teachers of faith, introducing children to the proper experience of Christian mysteries. The approach of the Orthodox Church to participation in the Holy Liturgy is largely similar to the instructions of the Catholic Church regarding this issue.
