About the need for a wider introduction of art into the school education and upbringing process of the young generation

Summary/Abstract: For centuries, art has played an important role in human life, although it was not always noticed. The value and role of art, the multiplicity of functions it fulfills in social life makes it an urgent need/goal to introduce art to a much greater extent in the educational and upbringing process of the young generation. In the era of socially unfavorable multicultural reality, the social responsibility should be expressed precisely in the need to include art to a wider extent in the school curriculum. The text presents various positions/statements of selected social groups: students, teachers and artists in the subject matter.
