Summary/Abstract: One of the most significant events on the international stage in 2022 was the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The article aims to analyze the relations of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) with the Russian Federation as well as the United States’ and China’s policy at the United Nations (UN) from a broader perspective. In the context of bilateral relations, the Authors focus primarily on Beijing’s propaganda support for Moscow’s actions and economic issues, with particular emphasis on the growing role of Chinese-Russian cooperation at the local government level. Moreover, in the international dimension, they emphasize the problems of Beijing-Washington relations, whereas the case of Taiwan is still a litmus test. This is particularly evident in the so-called “fourth Taiwan Strait crisis”, resulting from the visit of the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, to Taipei. The last element of the global activities of Chinese diplomacy which is the subject of the analysis is China’s activity on the UN forum in connection with the war in Ukraine and Sino- -American rivalry.
