Summary/Abstract: In his essay, Balázs Bodolai elaborates on the relationship of the actor/theatre to intimacy in five chapters as follows: Bodies in space, Souls in space, Space in me, Me in space, Getting real. The chapters are linked by the basic idea that intimacy on stage can occur not only in the form of physical proximity, but also when two or more actors in a given space are together in harmony in the here and now moment, and the spectator is also drawn into this intimacy.
