Summary/Abstract: The article is a monographic view of the With Fire and Sword (Ogniem i mieczem) by Henryk Sienkiewicz. The paper presents interpretive contexts for use in high school. In addition, the author encourages teachers of Polish to discuss the work of Henryk Sienkiewicz using modern methodologies. At the same time, it shows an extensive historical and literary superstructure.
