Could the revolutionary change of 9 September 1944 have happened in the city of Pleven? An overview of the most important historical sources

Summary/Abstract: The revolutionary change on 9 September 1944 is without a doubt one of the most important events in the Bulgarian history in the 20th century. Contrary to its great importance, there is very little authentic evidence for it. However, from the review of the most important sources, especially those having memoir character, one can seek an answer to the question of whether the change could have happened in the city of Pleven.
