Summary/Abstract: The main aim of the article is to analyze the importance of consumer rights and their place in the jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the European Union. The article presents the concept of consumer rights and their protection. The genesis and category of consumer rights were pointed out. The characteristics of the Court of Justice of the European Union as the subject of consumer rights protection were made. An analysis was made and specific examples of the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union were indicated in the context of specific areas of consumer rights.
