Summary/Abstract: This article gives a detailed overview of Serbian legislation in the areas of employment and labour laws, corruption, environmental protection, intellectual property rights and land management. The article is a review of the most important legislative acts, and it also points out deficiencies in relevant laws and problems of their implementation. The first part is devoted to labour laws. These laws were adopted in the last few years and are mostly in accordance with relevant international standards, but their implementation is still seriously overshadowed and strongly influenced by transition processes and political turbulence. The second part focuses on the issues of environmental protection, corruption and product liability. These areas are the ones in which most work is needed, both the enactment of new legislation and the implementation ofthe existing law.
