PERSONS DRIVING A VEHICLE WITHOUT A LICENSE AS A SERIOUS THREATEN FOR ROAD TRAFFIC IN POLAND IN 2017–2021

Summary/Abstract: The study deals with the subject of road safety in relation to the scale of threats caused by persons driving a vehicle without a license. Reference was made to the outline of the problem, which remained constant over the years. The main purpose of the article is to diagnose and assess the impact of people driving a vehicle without a license on the safety of the Polish population in the years 2017–2021. The research problem of the article in the form of a question was to what extent people driving a vehicle without a license had an impact on the safety of the population in Poland in 2017–2021? The method of comparison, inference, generalization and abstraction was used to solve the main objective and research problem. Then, the main effects of road accidents are explained. In the next step, the socio-economic results of events in road traffi c were presented, with the main emphasis on the economic aspect. The next stage of the study is the analysis of data on the number of accidents, injuries and fatalities at the turn of 2017–2021 in Poland. In the next part of the study, they were assessed, which shows the share of unauthorized persons in the total number of accidents, injured and killed in the total number of these events. Expanding the awareness of the population to the extent of the risk associated with the participation of people who do not have the appropriate license to drive a vehicle can signifi cantly reduce the number of accidents by reacting quickly and appropriately. The intention of the study was to make road users aware of how much danger there is in connection with people without appropriate permissions, because the public is not aware of how many dangers lurk in road traffic, and one of them is driving by an unauthorized person. At the very end, the importance of the effects of threats caused by unauthorized persons on the safety of the population in road traffic is presented.
