Summary/Abstract: The article refers to the significance of the fourth industrial revolution called Industry 4.0 in the area of investment planning in manufacturing enterprises. Developing industry, and in particular increasingly intelligent computer programs, force innovative approaches of enterprises in their internal environment. The research method that has been used is a method of analysis and evaluation of information from the literature on the subject as well as websites for the purpose of verifying the research hypothesis in the following wording: – Changing computer models may have a positive impact on the analysis and evaluation of simulations of the planned part of the reality of development investments. The research question posed in this article concerns how the approach to changing computer models supporting the fragmental planning of development investments supporting their simulations is changing, and what computer models currently support the planning of development investments and how these models support the risk assessment of a fragment of the reality of investment planning. These changes have an impact on the constantly changing external environment. It should be noted that there is a vector relationship, i.e. changes in the external environment force changes in the entities in their internal environment, and these changes have an impact on subsequent changes in the external global environment. The article is a premise for undertaking research in the fi eld of changes in the way of investing. The results of the changes are synthetically described in this article.
