Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study was to check whether there is a relationship between the sense of meaning in life and the level of depression felt by people participating in closed forums on Facebook`s about depression, and to determine whether there are diff erences in the sense of meaning in life and the level of depression felt due to having a social network. support. This goal was achieved by conducting research using the KPD and KPŻ questionnaires. The analysis of the obtained research results indicates an existing relationship between the sense of meaning in life and the level of depression felt by people participating in closed Facebook forums about depression. People who do not have a clearly defi ned goal, do not understand their place in the world and consider their lives monotonous are more likely to experience depressive symptoms. This relationship also works in the opposite direction - the severity of depressive symptoms reduces the sense of meaning in one’s existence. The results of the analyzes allowed for the verifi cation and confi rmation of the main hypotheses. Not all detailed hypotheses were confi rmed due to the lack of statistically signifi cant relationships between the variables.
