Summary/Abstract: This research investigates the music culture prevalent in regions where fasil music holds sway, with a particular focus on the performance of peşrevs within this cultural milieu. The study aims to elucidate the performance practices, structural characteristics, performance environments, and significance of peşrevs within the regional musical repertoire. Employing the descriptive survey model-a qualitative research method-the data acquired through document analysis underwent content analysis. Within this research framework, three works officially registered in the TRT repertoire-Elazığ (Paşa Göçtü) Peşrevi, Konya (Çuhacıoğlu) Peşrevi, and Kayseri Peşrevi-alongside five unregistered works, including Diyarbakır Peşrevi and Mardin Peşrevi, were examined. It was observed that the structural forms of these pieces, often distinguished by regional names and central to the research, exhibit significant similarities in terms of performance practices, venues, and the inherent characteristics of the peşrev, a form of Turkish instrumental music. An additional significant finding of the study is the preservation of the fasil music culture, a tradition deeply rooted in Turkish music history, within the aforementioned regions. Through content analysis, distinct musical expressions rooted in classical Turkish music and Anatolian music traditions were identified in Elazığ, Konya, Kayseri, Diyarbakır, and Mardin. Consequently, it is evident that the repertoires of these regions have been profoundly shaped by the influence tradition of fasıl encountered in classical Turkish music, with the tradition continuing to intertwine with local musical customs, thereby enriching the cultural tapestry of the regions under investigation.
