Summary/Abstract: This article deals with different memoirs and journals of Yugoslav diplomats that focus on Yugoslavia’s relations with a number of different Asian, African and Latin American countries. By analyzing these works this article tries to put reminiscences of Yugoslav diplomats into a concrete framework of domestic and international historiography, particularly concentrating on their contribution to our better understanding of Yugoslavia’s relations with the developing world during and after the Cold War. Apart from many important details depicting the political situation in countries like China, India, Cuba, Argentina, Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia all these works provide us with a new perspective that additionally helps us to fully comprehend their internal developments, put them into a concrete historical context, and grasp the importance of the developing world in international affairs. Therefore, these memoirs and journals might prove useful not only for ex-Yugoslav historians, but also for everyone interested in Third World politics during and after the Cold War.
