Summary/Abstract: The first issue of Studia Politica Slovaca for 2024 explores the snap elections to the National Council of the Slovak Republic in September 2023. The issue includes research on the election results, coalition formation, and the decline of far-right parties. It also features a comparative study on democratic backsliding in Slovakia and Serbia, and a discussion on cultural and ethical cleavages in Slovak politics. Additionally, the issue contains book reviews and information about recent activities of the Institute of Political Science of the Slovak Academy of Sciences.
