Summary/Abstract: Both terrorism and insurgency are dynamic processes, advocating for the determination of changes of political nature. Insurgency and terrorism are often conceptually confused, but are distinct phenomena, both in space tracking, as the public message, and in terms of how the event and associated techniques are manifesting. There is, however, a procedural possibility that the same politico-religious entity may use both events in support of its goals, but they are fundamentally distinct techniques, through which, although the actors may be similar, the staging will be very different.
